 WHAT TO BRING

This package is designed for the more rugged adventure traveler.  Spend the first couple of days in Alaska Rafting your way through the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge and then finish out the rest our night in the un parallel comfort of Alaska Legends Resort.

Please remember that fishing is a sport and as such we can not guarantee you fish.

Sunday, Day 1:    Welcome to Alaska!  You begin your stay with your arrival in Anchorage and overnight stay in Anchorage.  You will be on your own for meals today-make sure to check out our where to dine in Anchorage' page on our web site for suggestions.  Remember to pack a small overnight bag or pack for your next 2 days of adventure.

Monday, Day 2:   QUIET GRANDEUR OF THE KENAI!  Enjoy your deluxe continental breakfast and be ready to hit the road by 6:00 am sharp for a scenic motor coach drive along Turnagain Arm through the Chugach and Kenai Mountains.  We will arrive in Cooper Landing at 8:30 am to meet your guides and get outfitted for the next two days adventure.  Soon after you loading your gear we will be pulling away from shore in drift boats with friendly guides at the oars.  We stop often to hit the good fishing holes and photo opportunities throughout your trip, and at one of them your guide will stop to prepare you a delicious riverside lunch.  In the late afternoon we pitch camp and your guide will prepare you a delicious dinner.  You get to explore more fishing, relax, watch or take photos of the wildlife and serene surroundings.

Tuesday, Day 3:   ON THE RIVER AGAIN!  Rise to greet the day with a steaming cup of coffee, fish a little, have breakfast and after your guides break camp, we are off on the river again for our 2^nd day of adventure.  By mid day we are drifting the Kenai Canyon with it's splashy class II rapids and below the swifter what is our chance for some of the best fishing opportunities.  Late in the day we will leave the river and head to Alaska Legends where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Wednesday, Day 4: Rise and Shine! It's time to head down to Homer! Today is your choice of taking on the Salt for some Halibut Fishing or Kayaking around pristine Glaciers.  This decision may be difficult and you may find yourself wanting both….no problem!  Just let us know and we will arrange to make it happen.

Thursday, Day 5:   SOARING HIGH!  This is your chance to experience the thrill of a float plane soaring over breathtaking panoramas.  Choose to view the magnificent brown bear in his natural habitat, fish remote streams, or why not do both?  During certain time of the season, experience the excitement of fishing right along side of the awe-inspiring animals on land.  Again you will return to the lodge for an evening of cocktails, tall tales, and an expertly prepared dinner.

Friday, Day 6:   RELAX AND ENJOY!  This is what we like to call a calm 'down day'.  Sit and rejuvenate yourself in the relaxing environment of the lodge, try you luck down at our private riverbank, play a round of golf, or even schedule an appointment for a spa treatment.  If relaxing is just not your idea of an ideal day, chose another day of excitement from our extensive menu of excursions.

Saturday, Day 7:   FISH ON!  Time to try your luck for Salmon or trout on the River, pick your preference for an AM or PM guided fishing charter.  For those die-hard fishermen, who just can't get enough of the river and would like to increase your chances for the big one, upgrade to a full day.  Fish runs will determine which river your guide takes you on.  If fishing is not your thing chose another day of excitement from our extensive menu of excursions.

Sunday, Day 8:    VIEW THE 10^TH WONDER OF THE WORLD!  To start the last day of your Adventure Safari we will drive along Alaska's only Scenic Byway to Seward.  Once in Seward, you will experience Whales, Sea Otters, Sea Lions, Dalls Porpoise, puffins, and Calving Glaciers aboard your Kenai Fjords Tour.  After docking back in Seward you will board the Alaska Railroad for your scenic and leisurely ride back to Anchorage. (Dinner is available on the train, but not provided by Alaska Legends.
