OLYMPIC-WORLD CLASS NORDIC SKIING TRAILS
Excursions

Tucked behind Skyview High School, the Tsalteshi Trails are an astonishing haven of trails that enable residents and visitors to escape the hustle of city noise and stress.  The trail system offers peaceful solitude and a stunning landscape for hiking, running, biking and skiing.  Currently, the 22.2 meter course includes extreme, medium and short hills spaced between rolling level pathways. Enclosed are seven smaller loops and trails branch that off in all directions enabling people to chose a course of varying length and difficulty. The trail system is clearly marked by color and animal names at the trail head and at all intersections.   These trails are the site of many Nordic events held in Alaska, including the upcoming 2006 Artic Winter Games.

Call us if you require lodging during the 2006 Artic Winter Games, we would be more then pleased to accommodate you.
